The plane near field scanner system mainly consists of a control cabinet, a rack, and cables. The turntable adopts manual control and mainly consists of a table.
1.1 Main compositions of the control cabinetThe control cabinet consists of industrial control computer, movement control card, servo motor drive, switching power supply, transformer, AC contactor, and relay etc.
1.2 Main compositions of rackOverall structure of the scanner adopts the form of rectangular coordinates. This structure consists of 3 parts: horizontal movement part, vertical movement part, and manual probe rack, representing 3 degrees of spatial freedom X, Y, and Z, as shown in Fig.1. The pedestal is installed on a special foundation prepared in the dark room and the fixed linking part is designed with horizontal adjustment wedge and anchor bolts. Via this horizontal wedge, overall levelness of the scanner can be adjusted. On the pedestal, two high precision straight line ball guide rails are installed. The servo motor drives horizontal movement of toothed rack via the speed reducer. The whole of the vertical column moves in straight line in direction X on the transverse guide rail. On the vertical column, two high precision straight line ball guide rails driven by motor are also installed, to realize movement to any position in the scanning area of 2.5mx2.5m. At the same time, to realize forward and backward movement of the probe, adjustment mechanism is designed in Z axis direction, to allow adjustment distance of 0~250mm. 1.3 Main compositions of turntable bodyStructure of the turntable is shown in Fig.3. It includes of 4 parts: azimuth part, pitching part, translation part, and polaxis part. The azimuth, pitching, and polaxis parts are driven by precision gear worm speed reducer. Forward and backward movement of the translation part is realized by two straight line guide rails and ball screw mandrel installed on the azimuth table, which can be self-locked at any position. The polaxis is supported on the translation part via the pitching table and can rotate continuously by 360°.
